    Terms of service

    Last updated: 20 October 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Myranda, Inc. for the Myranda app and this website. Please read them before you use either. If you do not agree with them, do not use Myranda.

    1. Who we are

Myranda is made by Myranda, Inc., a Delaware corporation, 57 Aldie St, Allston, Massachusetts 02134, United States. You can reach us at info@myranda.ai.

    2. What Myranda is

Myranda is a browser for your social feeds, your AI assistants and the news sites you choose, and a private, on-device read of your digital life. Everything it works out about you, it works out on your phone. Our privacy policy lists exactly what reaches us. Myranda is a tool for seeing your own habits. It is not medical, psychological or educational advice, and it never rates you.

    3. Who can use it

You can use Myranda on your own once you reach the age of digital consent where you live: the age at which the law lets you agree, without a parent, to an app using your data. That is 16 in some countries, 14 in others such as South Korea, and 13 in others such as the United Kingdom and the United States. Below that age, a parent or guardian must agree before you use Myranda, and nobody under 13 can use it at all. Students can also take part through a school research study, which uses its own parental consent and student assent process. Where your phone can tell Myranda your age range, the app asks the store rather than you (the App Store on iPhone, Google Play on Android). Where the phone cannot say and a child data-protection law applies where you live, Myranda asks once for your age range, never your exact age.

    4. Your Myranda account

You can sign in with your email address, with Apple on an iPhone, or with Google on Android. The account holds nothing about your feed. It exists so that you can send us feedback with a return address and so that we can delete what little we hold when you ask. When you have an account:

    • You agree to give us an email address that is yours.
    • You are responsible for keeping your phone and your sign-in secure.
    • You can delete the account at any time in the app, with Delete everything at the end of Settings, or by following the delete your account page.

    5. The platforms you open

Inside Myranda you open Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Snapchat, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, news sites and any other site you add, directly from those companies and under their terms of service. The same goes for the data exports you download from them, or from Spotify, YouTube Music or Apple Music, and import into Myranda. You are responsible for complying with their terms. Myranda is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of them. We are not responsible when a platform changes, blocks or ends something that Myranda relies on.

    6. What you agree not to do

    • Use Myranda for anything illegal.
    • Try to break, reverse engineer or interfere with Myranda or its services.
    • Use automated systems to access our services without our permission.
    • Use Myranda to harass, abuse or harm anyone.
    • Send us malicious code or misuse the feedback channel.

    7. Your data and your content

Your feed history, your messages, your Digital Self and everything else Myranda keeps on your phone are yours. We claim no rights in them. If you share a Rewind tile or compare feeds with a friend, you decide what to share and with whom, and it goes from your phone to theirs, never through us.

    8. The community board

The community board on this website is public: everyone can read what is posted there, with the name you add, if you add one. When you post there, you agree that:

    • What you post is yours to share, and posting it breaks no law.
    • It contains no insults, threats, harassment, hate, sexual content, advertising or spam, and nothing private about another person.
    • We may show it on this website, sort it, answer it and mark it as planned, being built or done, free of charge. You keep your rights in it.

A post that five different internet connections report is hidden automatically, and we may remove posts that break these rules. To report illegal content in detail, write to info@myranda.ai with the post's text, why you believe it is illegal, your name and email address, and a statement that you believe your report is accurate and complete. We decide on every report with care and without undue delay, and tell you the outcome. If we removed your post and you think we were wrong, write to us and we will look at it again.

    9. Our intellectual property

The Myranda app, this website, their design, text, drawings and code belong to Myranda, Inc. and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may use them to use Myranda, and not otherwise copy, modify, distribute, sell or lease any part of them without our written permission. The names and logos of the platforms belong to their owners.

If you got Myranda from the App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. If you got it from Google Play, Google Play's terms of service also apply. Where they differ from these terms on the licence to use the app, theirs apply.

    10. Myranda Plus and payments

Myranda is free to use. Opening your apps, scrolling them and every control stay free. Myranda Plus is an optional subscription that makes your Rewind and Digital Self cover all of your apps. The app shows what Plus adds before you buy it.

    • Price. The price, the currency and the length of each plan are shown in the app before you confirm. Taxes are included where the store includes them.
    • Payment. Apple takes the payment on iPhone and Google on Android, under their own terms. We never see your card details. Plus belongs to your App Store or Google Play account, not your Myranda account.
    • Automatic renewal. A plan renews at the end of each period, at the price then in force, until you cancel. On iPhone, cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends, in Settings. On Android, cancel before the renewal date, in Google Play. After you cancel, Plus stays on until the end of the period you paid for.
    • Free trial. If a plan comes with a free trial, its length is shown before you start. If notifications are on, Myranda sets a reminder on your phone for two days before the trial ends; the store's own notices apply either way. If you do not cancel before it ends, the first payment is taken and the plan renews as above.
    • Deleting does not cancel. Deleting the app or choosing Delete everything does not cancel Plus. Only the App Store or Google Play can.
    • Price changes. If the price of your plan goes up, Apple or Google tells you before it applies, and asks for your agreement where the law requires it.
    • Refunds. Refund requests go to Apple or Google, who decide them under their own policies, because they took the payment. Any right the law of your country gives you, including a right to withdraw from the purchase, is not affected.
    • A new phone. Restore purchase in the app brings Plus back on a phone signed into the same App Store or Google Play account.

If we change what is free or what Plus includes, we will say so in the app first, and a change never takes away something you have already paid for during that period.

    11. Research studies

Research studies inside the app are optional and separate from these terms. Each study has its own consent, which tells you what leaves your phone, who receives it and how to withdraw. Nothing in these terms enrols you in a study.

    12. Beta software

Myranda is early software. It may have bugs, it may lose data, and platforms may stop working inside it without warning. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose, for example by using Download my data.

    13. No warranty

Myranda is provided as it is and as it is available, without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that what it shows you about your habits is complete or accurate.

If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, the paragraph above does not apply to you, and you keep your statutory rights for digital products; for Plus they include having it repaired, a price reduction or your money back if it does not work as described.

    14. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Myranda, Inc. and its team are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, arising from your use of Myranda or your inability to use it. Where the law does not allow us to exclude a liability, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for Myranda Plus in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, the paragraphs above do not apply to you. Instead, we are liable without limit for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and wherever a law such as product liability law makes us liable regardless of fault. For slight negligence we are liable only when we breach a duty whose fulfilment makes this agreement possible in the first place and on which you may regularly rely, and then only for the damage that was typical and foreseeable when the agreement was made.

    15. Ending the agreement

You can stop using Myranda at any time. Deleting the app or choosing Delete everything ends the agreement for you, but a Plus subscription keeps renewing until you cancel it in the App Store or Google Play. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if we stop offering Myranda, and we will tell you if we can. If we stop offering Plus, we stop it renewing.

    16. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. The new version appears on this page with a new date, and if a change matters to you the app tells you before it takes effect. If you keep using Myranda after that, the new terms apply. If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, a change that matters to you applies to you only once you have agreed to it.

    17. Governing law and your consumer rights

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules, and disputes are heard by the courts there. If you live in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another place whose consumer law gives you rights that cannot be taken away, you keep those rights, and you may bring a claim in your own country's courts.
